About Wealthy Affiliate

What is Wealthy Affiliate?

Wealthy Affiliate is an online learning platform that gives it members comprehensive training in affiliate marketing and building out a WordPress website. And it provides the necessary tools needed to become successful online.

But they’re not going to do the work for you. It’s not a get-rich-quick scheme nor is it suited for everyone. Please read my Wealthy Affiliate Review

Is Wealthy Affiliate a pyramid scheme?

Just in case you were wondering, Wealthy Affiliate is not a pyramid scheme. According to Wikipedia:

"Such organizations seldom involve sales of products or services with value. Without creating any goods or services, the only revenue streams for the scheme are recruiting more members or soliciting more money from current members."

So yeah, unlike pyramid schemes, Wealthy Affiliate provides valuable services including affiliate marketing training and website hosting.

Is Wealthy Affiliate an MLM?

Wealthy Affiliate is not a Multi-Level Marketing business opportunity. Multi-level marketing involves... wait for it... multiple levels of recruitment to the scheme (er, business model).

"MLM... compensation plans theoretically pay out to participants only from two potential revenue streams. The first is paid out from commissions of sales made by the participants directly to their own retail customers. The second is paid out from commissions based upon the wholesale purchases made by other distributors below the participant who have recruited those other participants into the MLM; in the organizational hierarchy of MLMs, these participants are referred to as one's down line distributors …most importantly [salespeople] are incentivized to recruit others to join the company's distribution chain as fellow salespeople so that these can become down line distributors." Source: Wikipedia

MLM products are usually over-priced to allow for the members at multiple levels to all get their cut. The MLM business model often closely resembles the pyramid scheme business model.

Wealthy Affiliate offers a single-level affiliate program to encourage its members to refer potential new members to the site. This is normal affiliate marketing without the inflated prices needed for multiple levels of compensation.

Wealthy Affiliate pays its members when their referrals become premium members. And it's not just a one-off payment, it's recurring income for as long as that referral remains a premium member. But there is no "down-line" so you don't get paid when your referrals get referrals of their own.

What are the upsells at Wealthy Affiliate?

Premium membership at Wealthy Affiliate includes most of what you'll need to become a successful affiliate marketer. There are no upsells here.

Even the keyword tool, Jaaxy Lite, is included in the cost of premium membership.

As you progress through the learning you'll want to register a domain name (or two) which costs around $14 a year and can be done either at Wealthy Affiliate or through a third party.

Premium themes and premium plugins can be purchased through third parties and are optional, not required. Many Wealthy Affiliate members never purchase a premium theme or plugin.

Eventually you may want to start email marketing which will require a third party autoresponder such as AWeberGetResponse, or ConvertKit.

Domain names, autoresponders, premium themes, and premium plugins are entirely optional. Wealthy Affiliate acts as a domain name reseller for Enom but does not sell or supply autoresponders, premium plugins, or premium themes.

Wealthy Affiliate Membership

How much does Wealthy Affiliate cost?

Wealthy Affiliate membership costs $49 a month or $495 for a year. The yearly membership includes a free domain name and $50 worth of Community Credits to spend on comments and/or feedback. There is usually a special annual discount on offer for the Black Friday weekend in November.

They offer a discount for the first month so you only pay $19 to access all the premium features for a month. But billing is automatic with the full subscription amount being charged to whatever payment method you select for the initial period. Once you subscribe you stay subscribed until you cancel your account.

How can I contact Wealthy Affiliate

For general enquiries or billing problems there's a contact form you can use at https://www.wealthyaffiliate.com/contact

Where do I find the Terms of Services Agreement?

When you subscribe to Wealthy Affiliate you are entering into a legally binding agreement. You'll find full details of Wealthy Affiliate's Terms of Service here.

Can I get a refund?

No. As Wealthy Affiliate offers a free trial for starter members there's no need for them to offer a money-back guarantee.

And, as with any paid membership site, billing is automatic until cancelled.

According to Wealthy Affiliate's Terms of Services:

"Subscription to Wealthy Affiliate Premium and Paid Services are billed in advance on a monthly or yearly basis (as per the option you have chosen when you purchased Services) and are non-refundable for the subscription period they are purchased for."

So you can't get a refund but your membership will stay active until it expires. Make sure you take the steps outlined on this page to cancel your membership before it expires or you will be billed again automatically.

Starter Members vs Premium Members

What are the differences between starter members and premium members?

This chart explains it best

Wealthy Affiliate Membership Options

Wealthy Affiliate Comparison Chart

Can starter members watch the Live Events/Webinars during the first 7 days?

Each week Jay (magistudios) presents a live webinar giving premium members the latest information on SEO (Search Engine Optimization), affiliate marketing, and related topics. These are only available to premium members and are worth the cost of membership alone.

Free starter members don't get access to the webinars even during their first 7 days when many other premium features are available to them.

Can starter members install plugins?

Starter members can activate the plugins which are initially installed automatically on every new website at Wealthy Affiliate but they cannot add any new plugins.

Premium members can install new plugins as needed but are encouraged to only install a minimum number of plugins to make their websites function as required.

Some plugins are not available at Wealthy Affiliate as they may be considered a security risk. And any plugin that requires an outbound connection may need to be arranged through Site Support

Can starter members choose a different theme?

Starter members can only choose one of the free themes that are installed automatically when their website is created. The theme options available are GeneratePress and a few of the WordPress standard themes.

Premium members can choose from more than seven thousand free themes that are available at the wordpress.org repository.

And premium members can purchase a premium theme from a third party to install on their websites.

Wealthy Affiliate does not include or sell premium themes.

Can starter members use FTP to access their website?

The starter members' websites are subdomains of siterubix.com. So, for security reasons, there is no FTP (File Transfer Protocol) access to them.

The Wealthy Affiliate Platform

I just joined WA, where do I start?

It's a huge website, feel fee to explore it on your own at your own speed. This video will help get you started: Important Stuff at WA

When you're ready to start the lessons go to the Training button on the left and select Online Entrepreneur Certification. The lessons have been designed to teach you step-by-step how to build a website and start to earn money from it. Do the lessons in order and make sure you mark off each step as you complete it, then the system will keep track of where you're up to in the lessons.

How can I get help?

There are quite a few options for getting help at Wealthy Affiliate.

The first place to start is the grey search bar at the top of every page. Most questions have been asked and answered many times and you'll probably find just what you're looking for right there.

If you'd like to chat with real people in real time try Live Chat. You won't always get the right answer as it depends on who is in there at the moment but at least they'll try. Sometimes you could shoot a cannon in there and not hit anyone but most of the time you'll find lots of members ready to chat. It's a great place to hang out and meet new friends.

If you're having technical difficulties with your website, no matter how small, Site Support is there to help. They usually respond within minutes. But Site Support is only for techie stuff to do with your website. They're not there to answer questions about WordPress, affiliate marketing, or billing issues.

If you need to contact the Wealthy Affiliate administrators then the best place to do that is the contact page.

For even more help check out: Ask a Question and Get the Right Answer

What can I write about at Wealthy Affiliate?

Wealthy Affiliate provides an online space for members to write blog posts. And, even thought the stuff you write is within the WA platform, it still gets indexed by the search engines so it's a good place to ensure your stuff gets read by a wide audience.

"Your blog here at Wealthy Affiliate is a great spot to communicate with others in the community and let people know about your progress, your successes, and ultimately your experience as you move through the crazy and exhilarating world of online business."

That's pretty much it, stay on topic, don't be too controversial (no religion or politics), and don't spam. Seriously, DON'T SPAM!

There are lots of rules about what you can't write about. You'll find a link at the bottom of the page where you write your Wealthy Affiliate post so you can read the short version of the rules.

About Blogging at WA

You'll find the full list of rules at Wealthy Affiliate - The Open Education Project - Spam is a NO-NO

Ignore the rules and you may lose your writing privileges for a period of time. Repeated offences can result in a permanent ban. To protect its members Wealthy Affiliate takes their rules very seriously.

What do they mean by "add some tags" to my post?

Tags help the search engines understand that your post is about more than just the title. Tags are searchable so think of them as a place where you can include keywords that are relevant to your post. You can also use your subheadings as tags. When you're writing a Wealthy Affiliate post they require a minimum of 2 tags and a maximum of 5. Read this post for more clarification on the differences between tags and categories.

Canceling Your Wealthy Affiliate Account

How do I cancel my Wealthy Affiliate membership?

This is one question that pops up every day. Just as there are new members joining every day, there are also members who decide to leave. So, I made a video showing how you can Cancel Wealthy Affiliate Membership and Stop Billing.

What happens to my website when I cancel my Wealthy Affiliate Membership?

Kyle recently wrote

"If you decide to cancel your membership, your hosting will be turned off immediately upon your date in which your premium membership is cut off."

Seriously, it's your website and your business. If you want to make sure you keep your website you'll have to move (migrate) it to another hosting provider before your membership expires. Once your site has been removed from the servers you won't have access to it to perform the necessary backups for yourself.

Here's the link to learn how you can easily Move a Website from Wealthy Affiliate to another hosting provider.

Can I go back to being a free starter member?

No. That's why they call it "starter membership". You only get to start for free one time.

Except, yeah, there is an "except". If you're willing to abandon everything you've done at Wealthy Affiliate you can start again from scratch by completely removing all trace of your membership and signing up with a different email address. If you have any difficulty with this use an incognito window or a different browser. And use my affiliate link so if you go premium again I'll get the commission ?

What if I leave Wealthy Affiliate and come back later?

Kyle has said that Wealthy Affiliate keeps backups of your websites which can be restored up to 60 days from when your membership expires. But, seriously, it's your business so I urge you to create your own backups before it's too late.

If you want your website to stay alive while you're away from Wealthy Affiliate you'll need to move it to another hosting provider. Full instructions

Building out your website

What are the foundations of a website?

If you are a premium member you can watch this video Establishing Your Website Foundation

How do I get feedback on my site?

There are two ways to get feedback on your website; the free way and the paid way.

To get the free version go to Please Give Me Feedback on My Website and exchange your feedback on other people's websites for feedback on your own.

If you're short on time and would prefer to pay for feedback, they've got you covered there too at SiteFeedback - Benefits & Full Walkthrough

How do I get comments on my posts?

As with feedback there are two options for getting comments on your posts, free and paid.

Here's the link for the free version Need website comments? the give and take comment thread. Make sure you follow the "pay it forward" steps and leave comments on other people's websites before you post your own request at the very top of the discussion.

If you're short on time and would prefer to pay for comments then go to Websites > SiteComments where you can request comments from other members on your posts.

How do I insert images in my posts?

If your website is hosted at Wealthy Affiliate and you use Site Content to write your posts then you're in for a treat. Wealthy Affiliate has curated over 1 million images that are free and free to use on your websites. Click on the image icon and search for the type of image and/or subject you're looking for.

Wealthy Affiliate Hosting

Is WA hosting really the best?

Not really. In my opinion Wealthy Affiliate hosting is fine for newbies. They have so many security protocols in place trying to ensure that their members don't mess up their websites that experienced webmasters may find the restrictions a bit too much. Many plugins require outbound connections which are prohibited by default. But, if you ask SiteSupport nicely, they will turn on cron jobs so your plugins can work properly.

Having said that, I'd like to repeat that Wealthy Affiliate hosting is fine for newbies. And that's exactly who they're catering for.

My personal choice is DreamHost but there are a couple of others that I can recommend:
Siteground
BlueHost

How do I log into my websites hosted at WA?

Wealthy Affiliate makes it easy for you to log into your website from within their own platform using Websites > Site Manager. But you can still work on your website even when you're not logged into Wealthy Affiliate.

Here's a quick video showing you how: Log In to WordPress Without Wealthy Affiliate Site Manager

Why is my site showing as "not secure"?

If your browser is flagging your website as not secure it's most likely that you have not turned on your SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) certificate.

Go to Websites > Site Manager and click on Details for the site which has this problem. Scroll down and you'll see SiteSSL (HTTPS). Click the toggle switch to turn on your SSL certificate.

If your site is still showing up as not secure then this video has you covered SSL: Activation, No Padlock, Mixed Content and Google Search Console

But it could be that your SSL certificate has not been automatically renewed when it expired. Contact Site Support if the above measures don't work.

How do I make my site load faster?

There are lots of reasons why your website may be slower to load than you'd like. The most important one is the size of the images. Always reduce the size of your images to their display size before you upload them to your website. Wealthy Affiliate has Kraken installed on all sites hosted there to take care of optimizing your images as they're uploaded.

Another option is to ensure that SitePlus+ is activated. Go to Websites > Details and find SitePlus+. There are two options there; Accelerated and Extreme. Try both and check which is better for your website using the free online tool at Pingdom. The SitePlus+ Extreme setting combines and minifies CSS and Javascript (techie stuff) which could break badly coded themes or plugins. So make sure your site still looks OK after you activate the Extreme setting. If there's a problem then go back to the Accelerated setting. No harm done.

How do I clear the cache at Wealthy Affiliate?

If your recent changes to your websites are not showing up straight away then clearing the cache could help. Go to Websites > Site Manager > Details and you'll see the option to clear the cache under the SitePlus+ option.

You may also need to clear the cache on your browser, use an incognito window, or even a different browser for the changes to show up on your computer. Search Google for instructions relevant to your browser and computer setup.

How do I move my website from SiteRubix to my new domain name?

When you register your own domain name you have the option to move your existing SiteRubix subdomain website to your new domain name. Kyle's got you covered on this one: Move On Over, My Brand Has Arrived

Can I use my existing website at Wealthy Affiliate?

Yes. If you'd like to have your existing WordPress website hosted at WA, SiteSupport will help you move your website to the WA servers. The first step is to create a backup of your site using the All In One WP Migration plugin. Then contact SiteSupport and ask them to give you the rest of the instructions. They'll take care of the techie stuff for you.

But if your site is not built on WordPress, then it's not such a simple solution. My best advice is to copy and paste the content from your original website to a SiteRubix subdomain. Once you've got your website looking the way it should you can change the DNS (Domain Name Servers) to point to WA then use the Move tool to transfer the content from the SiteRubix subdomain to your actual domain name. Doing it this way will minimize downtime.

If you prefer to keep your existing website at your preferred hosting provider and just follow the training at Wealthy Affiliate (good choice) then that's OK too.

I bought my domain name somewhere else, can I host it at WA?

Yes. If we're talking about a domain name that's not attached to an existing website then it's just a matter of changing the DNS (Domain Name Servers) to point to WA's servers. Kyle's got this covered: WA Hosting - Setting Up Your Domain DNS

The Wealthy Affiliate Ambassador Program

What is the WA Ambassador Program?

The 25 top ranking members of Wealthy Affiliate are called "Ambassadors" with the first 3 slots taken up by Kyle and Carson (co-owners and founders of WA), and Jay (the official WA Trainer).

Back in 2015 (last updated May 8, 2017) Kyle wrote:

"An Ambassador is someone that is an active, helpful participant of the community here at Wealthy Affiliate. They naturally engage with others. They help others. They ask questions when they need help. They are an active entity within the community."

He also mentioned that they have set aside a budget for the Ambassador program. But that never came into fruition. I was an ambassador for over 3 years and I never saw a red cent, not even a WA coffee mug.

But having said that, WA members are still vying for the coveted position of Ambassador because it feels good to be a "helpful participant of the community". And some people like to take part in a competition.

I urge you to spend more time building your own business (your website) than you spend at Wealthy Affiliate building theirs.

How does the ranking system work at WA?

As with any ranking system the lower the number, the higher the rank. Kyle, Carson, and Jay take up the top three spots with regular members being ranked according to their level of activity as Helpers, Creators, and the undefined metric of Activity.

Super Affiliates, those who have over 300 premium referrals in a year, get an all expenses paid trip to Las Vegas the following January. So, the members who have brought in a lot of referrals are usually actively helping their referrals. This means that their rank is often higher than other members who just answer questions and write blog posts on the platform.

Ambassadors, including the owners Kyle and Carson, take up the top 25 spots. You don't have to be knowledgeable about WordPress or affiliate marketing to become an ambassador, you just need to be more helpful, creative, and active on the Wealthy Affiliate platform than almost everyone else to earn the title.

Take it from a former ambassador, although the competition for high ranking at Wealthy Affiliate is fierce there is no monetary reward for becoming a Wealthy Affiliate ambassador. It's just a title that people are proud to wear.

Making Money with Wealthy Affiliate

Can you make money with Wealthy Affiliate?

Yes, Wealthy Affiliate teaches you how to build an online business by creating a website, writing content, and monetizing it using affiliate programs.

Wealthy Affiliate also has their own affiliate program whereby members can earn money referring people to the Wealthy Affiliate training. Even free starter members can earn money through the affiliate program but premium members earn twice as much as starters. You'll find all the details and your affiliate links when you click on the money ($) icon at the top of any Wealthy Affiliate page.

Can a starter member make money with Wealthy Affiliate?

Theoretically yes. As a starter member, you get one website as a SiteRubix subdomain e.g. example.siterubix.com. And you get 2 classrooms with 10 lessons in each.

So if you already know what you're doing you can make money.

But if you're inexperienced you really need the many extra classes that only premium members can access.

Wealthy Affiliate is primarily a learning platform. If you don't need to learn about affiliate marketing and best SEO practices there's no point in being there.

But many affiliate programs require proof of ownership of a website before approving new applicants. Wealthy Affiliate owns the SiteRubix subdomains, not the starter members. So you either need to be a premium member of wealthy affiliate with your own domain name or have your own website hosted somewhere else.

How long does it take to make money with Wealthy Affiliate?

How long is a piece of string? Seriously, how long it takes to make money with Wealthy Affiliate depends entirely on you. It's not a get-rich-quick scheme. It's going to take some work and dedication to build a profitable website. Some people see tangible results after a few short months, others may never make a profit. Realistically, I would commit to at least a year to build a viable business. Most offline businesses don't show a profit in under 5 years but online businesses have much lower startup costs and can become profitable much sooner.

How do I choose a niche?

You'll want to choose something that you're gonna enjoy writing about and researching. But don't overthink it, A Niche is A Group of People Looking for Stuff

And this should help too, How to Find a Niche for Your Blog - 3 Easy Ways

And niche selection is even touched on in the free first 10 lessons, Choose a Niche

How do I get approved for Adsense?

One way of monetizing your website is by displaying ads from Google Adsense. Here's a video to show you how to get your website approved Applying for Adsense and Where to Paste the Code

Site Features at Wealthy Affiliate

What is SiteManager about?

SiteManager is where you'll find some of the stuff you need for controlling your hosting. It's not exactly a cPanel (control panel) but it is the local equivalent. Anything that you need with regard to your hosting that's not available through SiteManager has to go through SiteSupport.

You'll find your website and FTP login usernames and passwords at SiteManager and you can only reset your password here. It's a security precaution so that newbies can't use insecure passwords.

SitePlus+ is the Wealthy Affiliate built-in caching system. There are two options - Accelerated and Extreme. Extreme combines Javascript, CSS,  and other techie stuff which could break a website with a badly coded theme or plugins so Accelerated is enabled by default. If your site breaks after changing to Extreme then simply switch back to Accelerated and the problem will be fixed.

While you're actually logged into Wealthy Affiliate you can access your website(s) quickly and easily via SiteManager. What new website owners don't realize is that it's not the only way to access their website. You can Log In to WordPress Without Wealthy Affiliate Site Manager

What is SiteBuilder about?

When you need to build a new WordPress website at Wealthy Affiliate go to SiteBuilder. There you have a choice between creating a free SiteRubix subdomain, or adding WordPress to a domain name that you already own, or even registering a brand new domain name.

Wealthy Affiliate only uses WordPress as the content management system and the free members have GeneratePress automatically installed as WA's theme of choice. It's actually a very good choice as it's extremely light-weight and easy to customize. And, of course, having all the beginners using the same theme makes the training easier to follow. Premium members can choose from over 4,000 free themes or can install a premium theme that they have purchased elsewhere.

What is SiteDomains about?

Wealthy Affiliate is a domain name registrar as a reseller for Enom. Their prices are very reasonable as they include privacy which other registrars charge a lot extra for. Unlike most other registrars, the renewal prices remain the same as the original registration so you're not up for a lot of extra cash each year.

At the present time, WA only handles top level domain names, not country specific domain names such as .co.uk, .ca, .com.au, etc.

Even though I use a different hosting provider, I have my domain names registered with Wealthy Affiliate SiteDomains.

What is SiteContent about?

SiteContent is Wealthy Affiliates's "ultimate writing platform" to help new members write stuff for their websites.

There are a few templates built into SiteContent to make it a little easier when you're starting a new website, such as an Affiliate Disclosure, Hosting Review, Privacy Policy, Keyword Rich Content, and About Me pages. All of which are very necessary for every website.

SiteContent also includes easy access to over 1 million free, and free to use, images curated from other websites including pixabay, unsplash, pexels, etc.

It keeps a tally of how many words you've written while you're in SiteContent but it is not fully integrated with your WordPress website.

One of the things I don't like about SiteContent is that the only way to move the stuff you've written from SiteContent to your website is to hit the Publish button. You can't just save it on your website as a draft so you can tweak the SEO settings, add a featured image, decide on the page/post layout with regard to sidebars, etc. To me that's a deal breaker, I'd rather just go straight to my website and write my content there.

Many beginners don't realize that once the content has been published on their site it cannot be edited again through SiteContent. Or, at least, any changes made within SiteContent after the post has been published will not appear on the website.

What is SiteComments about?

An important part of SEO is getting engagement on your content. With this in mind, Wealthy Affiliate has created Site Comments as a means for members to give and receive comments on their posts. To get comments you can choose to give two comments in exchange for one comment or you can buy comments. Here's the link you need for SiteComments

If you're participating in the Site Comments thingy please comment as a organic visitor responding to the content in the post you are commenting on.

SiteComments should not be confused with SiteFeedback, but it often is. Do NOT give feedback when comments have been requested.

There is another free option at the Give and Take Comment Thread but please pay it forward and leave some comments before you ask for any.

What is SiteFeedback about?

Site Feedback should not be confused with Site Comments, although it often is.

Site Feedback has a similar exchange system to Site Comments but it is intended for private feedback which is not going to be published on your site. If you're looking for feedback on your content, site design, page layout, use of images and media, or just general feedback on your website SiteFeedback is the place to go.

There's also a free option for website feedback at Please Give Me Feedback on My Website but please bear in mind that most of the feedback you'll get in this thread will be from new, inexperienced members. Nevertheless, you can get some valuable insights here and all it will cost you is a bit of time looking at other people's websites. Which can be time well spent as research.

What is SiteSupport about?

SiteSupport is there for all the techie issues with your website including your domain specific emails. They are not there to teach you affiliate marketing or how to use WordPress.

They use a ticketing system and response is usually fast (within a few minutes). Expect to receive their replies via the private messaging system.

Jaaxy Keyword Research Tool

What is a keyword?

Most of the time a keyword is actually a phrase rather than a single word.

Kyle touches on this within the first 10 free lessons Understanding Keywords, The Start of Your Content and expands on the concept in the second level of the WA course Understanding the Low Hanging Fruit

And Jay presented this Live webinar Using Jaaxy Like a Boss

How many keywords should I use in one post?

This is an interesting question because, although you should focus on only one keyword in order to maintain your own focus, the reality is that your post can rank for many different keywords. This is known as LSI (Latent Semantic Indexing).

This Wealthy Affiliate FAQ post that you're reading now has the potential to rank for each of its subheadings, and even the individual questions. If someone is searching for the answer to one of the questions listed here then Google might recommend that they read the answer I've written.

The search engines are now using artificial intelligence (AI) to find the best results for each query so, if someone is searching for "xyz reviews" (plural) then an article with the title "XYZ Review" (singular) should be included in the search engine's results pages. And the AI will also discover that if an article looks like a review, even if it doesn't include the word "review" in the title then it probably is a review, and ranks it accordingly.

Read this article from Nathaniell Keyword Stats VS Keyword Concepts: The Human Element To Your Website

Why are Google Search Results Different to Jaaxy's QSR?

My friend, Robert (aka boomergp08) explains thus:

Google's job is to show the best results that can answer the intent of the search query based on how informative your content is to that keyword. So if Jaaxy says that the QSR is 41 and a Google search of the same keyword says 1,440,000 results, Jaaxy is still correct.

And you may also like How to do Keyword Research Correctly which goes into more depth on the subject.

Is Jaaxy only relevant to English speaking people?

One of my many online friends is bilingual and writes in both English and Dutch. She does her keyword research using Jaaxy in English and then translates the best keywords into Dutch. She figures that even though the language is different people are still asking much the same questions.

  1. Hi Marion

I would like to upgrade to Premium but I already have a blog hosted on Bluehost and I don’t like the idea to move it to Wealthy Affiliate. Would they still allow me to go through the course without hosting my blog with them?

    • There’s absolutely no need for you to move your website to WA to go through their course. I actually don’t use WA’s hosting myself.

    • I know a bit about this ranking business at Wealthy Affiliate, Sylvia. Don’t get focused on your ranking at WA. It means nothing other than how active you are within Wealthy Affiliate. Many people will try to game the rankings to get higher up and be an ambassador. They focus on commenting, live chat, and basically wasting time inside of WA. If those same people put just 50% of that effort into their own business websites, they’d be earning a lot more than they are.
The ranking system at WA makes newbies think that all the ambassadors are earning a ton of money. When I was an Ambassador for almost a full year, I was making less than $100 a month with my website. Why? Because I spent too much time inside WA keeping my ranking to remain as an ambassador. I didn’t spend enough time on my website(s).
